Institute - FREE Live Stream Session

Friday, April 3rd, 12-1 pm

Featuring Dr. S.

"Shariah: What Every Christian Should Know about Islamic Law & How to Respond"

IMPORTANT COVID-19 UPDATE

Following local and national safety guidelines during the Coronavirus outbreak, the Institute will suspend its regularly scheduled luncheon and host its next session online as a free live streaming event.

When a Christian hears the term "Shariah Law," a common response is alarm and opposition. Even some Muslims have this reaction. This month, we are excited to have one of our favorite guests shed light on this often complicated topic. In this online session, our special guest Dr. S. will help us uncover Shariah's meaning, practice, and what our response should be.

We hope that you'll join us for this first-ever online Institute session. You'll be able to ask questions, share your thoughts, and connect with others learning to reach Muslims during the live stream. This first online session is free but you must register.

In the middle of these uncertain times, our goal is to see the love of Christ made known to Muslims in even greater ways around the DFW area and beyond. Thankfully, as we weather these new challenges, God is faithful to grow us and bring us closer together as we seek to reach out to Muslims in our community. Don't miss this special opportunity to join wherever you are on live stream for this Institute session!

Institute Featured Presenter: Dr. S.

(Dr. S works in closed contexts, his name has been abbreviated to protect his identity.)

Dr. S was born and raised in South Africa where he completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He joined the family retail business, and because of a love for teaching also joined the Commerce faculty at Rhodes University teaching business and accounting. As part of a call to reach the nations, he completed a Master of Divinity degree in international church planting at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. His particular calling has been to those who have never heard and this led to his family serving overseas in an unreached, restricted access area. He was blessed to see how the Lord is making Himself known among the unreached and is passionate about training others to help complete the task that remains. His Doctor of Theology studies has been through the University of South Africa, with a focus on the issues of contextualization and globalization in relation to the starting of churches among the unreached.
